Event name[edit]

Creative Commons Global Summit

Participant connections[edit]

The event was full of open knowledge and open content enthusiasts, who were more than happy to share their experiences with me, and open to me sharing my experience with them. I came across several participants who became interested in contributing to participation to both Wikipedia and Global Voices (where I work).

Option 2: Learning Pattern: What is one useful learning pattern you can share with the Wikimedia movement?
Add a link to a learning pattern - either a new pattern you created with insights from your participation, or an existing pattern to which you added your endorsement and some significant new "considerations" or “examples” from your experience.

Following my presentation, several participants contacted me to organize events for paid contribution to increase content for Arabic Wikipedia.
