1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

Yes, we are organizing an editathon and also welcome new users.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

Awareness will be made on the club WhatsApp group, Twitter and Facebook pages, Publicity’ll also be done on UI’SUtv to improve our awareness creation.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
To create public awareness, we intend to reach out to interested participants, including existing members and potential new members, through various online platforms such as e-fliers and our official social media channels, including Instagram, Twitter, and our primary communication platform, WhatsApp. This strategy aims to keep participants informed about the event and maintain their engagement.

For the photo walk and training sessions, we will notify participants via official email communications to ensure they are aware of the event details and do not miss out, particularly considering that some participants may only be accustomed to receiving communication through email.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals. (NOTE: all experienced Wikimedia editors MUST endorse your proposal as proof of availability)
For example: User:Kaizenify

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them? Participants are encouraged to bring their electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, cameras, laptops, etc., to fully engage in the photo contests and the photo walk session at the Museum. 6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

Global Contest: Wiki Loves Africa is a global campaign where participants compete for international recognition and prizes. We will ensure their participation in the international campaign, facilitating their familiarity with the global Wikimedia movement.

Engagement on the Community Platform: We will actively engage our participants during and after the event through our social media platforms, fostering ongoing interaction and sharing updates on activities within the Wikimedia community.

Contest: Following the event, a three-week contest will be held, during which participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the local contest. Prizes will be awarded to recognize their contributions.
