Project summary[edit]

Briefly summarize your project proposal.

  • Hadejia is the second largest and most populous city in Jigawa State. It is also one of the seven true Hausa states, known as Hausa Bakwai. Last year, my friend and I organized a Photo Walk in Jigawa State. During the project, we conducted Wikimedia Commons training in Hadejia town. Many people showed their passion for Wikipedia and consistently asked us for Wikipedia training. Several months ago, we visited the town and had discussions with them. During that time, we created new accounts for some of them. This time, we will teach them how to contribute to Wikipedia step by step. We will assist them in creating a Wikimedia community in Jigawa State
