Grants:Wikimedia UG Nigeria Grants/Wikimedia User Group Nigeria Community Support Fund/Improving Wikipedia pages through translation among FUTO secondary school students

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Project summary[edit]

Briefly summarize your project proposal.

  • This project seeks to train the students on how to edit on Wikipedia using translation tool as a channel. Having taught the students the five pillars of Wikipedia, Wikilinking and sandbox editing, I will allow them to read other people's articles and translate it to igbo language. This is because, they have not really read through a Wikipedia page and make an input, so, this will give them the opportunity to learn more on Wikipedia editing. This will serve as a medium of instilling creative writing skills in the students.
