• Zaria is the second-largest city in Kaduna State, located in Northern Nigeria, serves as the capital of the Hausa state of Zazzau. It is notable for housing institutions like Ahmadu Bello University and Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic. However, many of its residents, particularly students, are unaware of Wikipedia and its related projects. Some are hesitant to engage due to the editable nature of the platform. The project's objective is to enhance awareness, expand the audience, and encourage more contributors to the Hausa Wikipedia.

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

The project will unfold over a two-day period. The first day will be online session, were the facilitators and I will give an awareness about Wikipedia and guide participants in the process of setting up their Wikimedia accounts. The second day is an physical event which will be exclusively devoted to an extensive edit-a-thon session, during which we will generate and review more Wikipedia articles for approval.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

The community will know via WhatsApp group of Hausa Wikimedians

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

They will know via phone calls, physical announcement and Social Medias
