  • The initiative at Aminci College of Education Funtua focuses on delivering thorough training and increasing awareness about Wikipedia to students. Through interactive workshops and enlightening sessions, the project aims to empower students with the necessary skills for effective contributions to Wikipedia and other Wikimedia platforms. The ultimate goal is to cultivate a culture of knowledge-sharing and digital literacy, empowering students to actively engage in creating and enhancing online content.

Two days of Workshop and Edit-a-thon

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

I will share via Funtua Wikimedians Community WhatsApp group and Hausa Wikimedians User Group WhatsApp group.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

I will share via Funtua Wikimedians Community WhatsApp group, many participants are there.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals. (NOTE: all experienced Wikimedia editors MUST endorse your proposal as proof of availability)

I will engage them via WhatsApp group

I have applied in the last month but not hear anything from grant committee. That's I reapply in this round.

I A Salisu will organize the project with help of Yusuf Sa'adu, and Yusuf Sa'adu is an experienced Wikimedia Editor.

  1. Refreshment: 1,500 x 22 (participants and facilitators) = N33,000 for two days 66,000
  2. Hall: N30,000 for two days 60,000
  3. Event's banner:N10,000.
  4. Data support for participants and facilitators :N1,000×22=22,000 for two days 44,000
  5. Local transfer for orgerzers N15,000
  6. Flyers - N10,000
  7. Microphone - N20,000
  8. Contingency - N10,000

Total amount=N235,000
