Approval of this final report[edit]

Hi Jake, thank you for the offline conversation in which we discussed the progress of The Wikipedia Library in detail. As per our conversation, I continue to be very impressed by the work of The Wikipedia Library, and the support it offers some of our most valued contributors. Much appreciation to you, your team and every volunteer who uses TWL.

I'm particularly pleased to see the modular design of TWL, so that it can be adapted to serve multiple language communities. I continue to be excited by the pilots in Arabic, Spanish and German, though I know there are constraints beyond the TWL team's control in the Arabic pilot. :-)

The effort you've put into the partnerships is staggering: I know how time- and energy-intensive this can be, but you are clearly not simply being able to provide free accounts to our volunteers as a result; you are shifting the larger discourse around access to knowledge with these partners. Thank you!

All in all, I am delighted to approve this report. Given you and the team have continued to work on TWL well past the close of this grant period, I approve having the remaining funds of $714 used towards incidental expenses you have incurred in these past two months. thanks, ASengupta (WMF) (talk) 19:06, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations, Ocaasi, on the program's successful first year! Now that we've got a decision on the remaining funds, please go ahead and wrap up your receipt documentation with our grants administrator. Once that's done, we'll be able to mark this IEG as complete. Cheers, Siko (WMF) (talk) 20:49, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
