WMF employees involvement into content work[edit]

Traditionally I think, which I hope is documented but I have not yet found where, the Foundation employees are not involved into content work. Would they fact-check content? Gryllida 11:20, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No, that would be bad. This proposal suggests completely independent fact-checkers whose only relationships to the Foundation are as recipients of grants. The community would evaluate their work, not the Foundation. The Community would recommend whether to continue their work to the grants evaluators. If WMF hires new people for the task, how would you envision «who would operate independently of both the Foundation and the editing community to evaluate» being enforced, if someone from WMF is their boss? Gryllida 11:20, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That is not at all what I am suggesting, per above. EllenCT (talk) 08:26, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
