+Strong Support+ I know Obialugaeriaku Ezeilo as an Igbo Educationist at Abuja, Nigeria, I believe she has the capacity to execute this project alongside with other researchers from her institute. Onyinyeonuoha (talk) 07:22, 23 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Strong support

I strongly support this proposal for two reasons;

- we need to understand the pathways for integrating Wikipedia into Nigerian classrooms as an open educational resource. This will assist greatly in driving quality education as students will be led to have access to more knowledge contained in Wikipedia. This proposal seeks to fathom out ways to make this work for us in Nigeria and I am looking forward to it.

- second, the team that has been put forward to do this are all within Nigeria's educational system and understand better how to get answers needed from their colleagues, untangle systems and build new ones that will help them achieve their purpose. Most importantly, Obiageliaku Ezeilo is not just an academician, she is also a seasoned Wikimedian and a top member of the Igbo language user group. A very strong support for this proposal;

This research is very important because not only will integrating Wikipedia into Nigeria classroom help in promoting free knowledge for students but a study of this nature could also encourage academic staff to use Wikipedia as a teaching tool as well as motivate them to start contributing content to Wikipedia given that the research will provide an avenue for academics to learn more about Wikipedia.

Again, I trust the capacity of the researchers involved in this project to deliver a quality research output which will go a long way to helping to promote access to open knowledge particularly given the lack of it among many students including academics in Nigeria. • I believe this proposed research will indeed enhance resources available to teachers for teaching and resources available to students for learning. And I feel the team behind this are very experience in the field. Therefore I endorse this project and I am looking forward to the outcome Udehb (talk) 10:07, 24 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Strong support 'Strong support' Going through this project proposal, I strongly believe that it is not only going to rewrite the narrative, but also going to change the wrong perception of Wikipedia in the Nigerian Educational Sector. Iwuala Lucy (talk) 12:57, 28 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Positive Endorsement[edit]

This project is promising for the education system in Nigeria as there are many benefits to the successful entry of Wikipedia into the Nigerian Classroom. Undoubtedly, Nigerian students have very limited access to resources to support their academic endeavors. And the Wiki platforms offers open and free learning resources to all who engage it. Therefore, it is instructive that this project is set to explore an in-depth research to understand some of the needs in order to be able to tailor the intervention to meet the needs and foster student's access to open and free education. This project is also encouraged against the background that a renowned experienced project team will be implementing the project. I have no reservations to endorsing this project for approval. A very good research idea[edit]

A very good research idea with a clear scope and has the potential for collaborations with partners in education, Oby Ezeillo is an experienced classroom teacher that have done several projects around engaging students to Wikipedia in the Classroom, she can really tell of the challenges facing projects around this topic. We are hoping if realized to see the impact of this research in overcoming the challenges facing Introducing Wikipedia in Nigeria classrooms and to increase Wikipedia knowledge in schools.
