A quite impressive way to create more room for elevating females editors in the Hausa community. History have shown very few females active editors. We hope the objectives will lead we having females administrators. I support this project.

Project like this will help in improving the overall quality of the Hausa contents and prevent biased articles. Please ensure you collaborate with more of the genders advocates in your community to achieve a profound result.

Not Funded

[edit]

Dear @Galdiz, Thank you for applying for the Rapid Fund grant. We appreciate your commitment to supporting projects for women as it is a priority for achieving knowledge equity. We reviewed your application and after a careful consideration, have decided to not fund this application at this time for the following reasons:

  • For a project of this nature, the lived experience and capacity of the implementing team will be instrumental for success. In this case these do not appear to be met, particularly given that the applicant and team members are male. A project focused on women's empowerment will be better led by women.
  • Additionally, it appears that there is a greater need to ensure cohesion across the Hausa Wikimedia community to remove potential duplication of efforts. Currently as a part of it's strategy, the Hausa Wikimedia User Group has gender advancement as a part of it's strategic focus. As such, it would be advisable for this team to collaborate with the Hausa User Group to maximize impact and avoid redundancy.

Thanks for the review, but if you can recheck the team members, all are females. I hope you can give it a recheck for the points you made mentioned. Thanks Galdiz (talk) 01:21, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
