hi. ok, you can disregard my request above. someone else from WMF has already replied there, and helped to clarify this topic generally. i think the discussion there has now closed in a fairly reasonable way. thanks. Sm8900 (talk) 20:48, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Update about your message[edit]

Hi Yop. I just wanted to drop you a super quick word to say I have not forgotten our conversation at WikiIndaba about Grants talk:Project/MSIG/WikiFranca/Skills and Leadership Development Initiative - Phase 1 and set-up of a small team to be the go-between your team and WikiFranca. However, the general assembly of WikiFranca will take place this week-end and there will be changes on the board (not the least, in this specific case, being that both Mahuton and myself are not running for another year). Update will follow after the elections for the new team :) Cheers Anthere (talk) 19:12, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello!
Thank you for the quick follow-up on things. I wait patiently for the major updates following the board elections. Best YPam (WMF) (talk) 09:21, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

CONCERNS WITH GRANT APPROVAL AND THE NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE MOTIVES OF THE LEADERSHIP OF THE DAGBANI WIKIMEDIANS USER GROUP UNDER THE PRETENCE OF SUPPORTING OTHER LANGUAGE COMMUNITIES[edit]

Hello YPam (WMF),

I wish to raise serious concerns surrounding the Micro-grants program, suggesting a discouragement of individual projects and questionable intentions indicated by a non-functional application link. The expulsion of Cdilalo47 and CHENdiba 1 from their team for successfully securing project funding raises questions about the autocratic leadership of DWUG, hindering volunteers' contributions to language communities. Suspicions of influencing grant disapprovals for minority communities, and imposing irrelevant projects undermine the collaborative spirit, causing volunteers to drift away. The power dynamics and threats within DWUG challenge the principles of WMF, prompting scrutiny over who monitors the leadership. I am of the firm belief that despite setbacks, resilience against deception persists, and I am only emphasizing the need for transparency and fair practices within the user group. Hi @YPam (WMF). This is a friendly reminder that since January 2024 we applied for an MSIG grant and so far we have not received a response. Note that the two weeks that the page indicates that we will receive communication from you have passed, so I would like to know if the mail was received.
