[MEA _ Rapid] [ Not Funded] Documenting endangered Nigeria food[edit]

Dear @Psalmbusy

Thank you for submitting your grant application. We appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement. We are continuously strengthening our grants review process, ensuring that grant funding is being invested towards impactful projects and efforts geared towards contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement most efficiently and effectively.

After thoroughly reviewing your application, we have decided not to fund your Rapid Fund request. The reasons for declining your funding application are as follows;

  • We found it unclear and encouraged thoughtful review and planning of this second version of the project, especially concerning your larger goal.
  • It was not clear on the protocol or how you planned to guide participants to achieve your goal of 60% quality images and videos to be uploaded to Wikimedia projects.
  • It was also unclear what specific projects you were planning to focus on for the project.
  • The goal of having 5 editors contribute to uploading the images in an editathon after engaging 75 participants in the project; needs more clarification, especially seeing that you intend to have a training of participants. *We had a challenge in understanding the rationale of this approach.
  • There was a misalignment between the learning questions and the metrics to guide your measuring, evaluation and sharing aspects of your project.
  • Please specify in future who you would be collaborating with within the project, including affiliates in your country.

Overall, we would advise that you embark on a thoughtful review and planning of the next phase of the project before making any future proposal submissions.

We advise that you incorporate the feedback shared in future funding proposals you may submit.

Thank you.
