Thank you for submitting your grant application. We appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement. We are continuously strengthening our grants review process, ensuring that grant funding is being invested towards impactful projects and efforts geared towards contributing to the mission of Wikimedia Movement in the most efficient and effective manner.

After a thorough review of your application, we have decided to not fund your Rapid Fund request. Here are the main reasons for our decision:

  • We think that the application is incomplete. The activity plan and other details of the project are unclear. The impact is vague and some metrics seem unrealistic.
  • The applicant has an ongoing Rapid Fund which they couldn't complete due to some challenges. Moreover, the applicant didn't complete another project funded by a Wikimedia Nigeria User Group microgrant. We request that the applicant completes at least the first project before seeking additional funding for other projects.
  • We also recommend the applicant to seek microgrants from Wikimedia Nigeria UG to implement the desired projects.
