  • Support last time I check there's no any content about Kanuri people or there culture in any Wikimedia sites which I fund it more stressful. But when I come across this project its gives me joy and hope finally there's something about my tribe. I support this project because it will give easy access to me and other people to learn and know more about the language and there heritage. Not funded[edit]

Hello Aishaadam2022,

Thank you for submitting your grant application. We appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement. We are continuously strengthening our grants review process, ensuring that grant funding is being invested towards impactful projects and efforts geared towards contributing to the mission of Wikimedia Movement in the most efficient and effective manner.

After a thorough review of your application, we have decided to not fund your Rapid Fund request. Here are the main reasons for our decision:

  • We recognize that the documentation of cultural heritage is important. However, we think that the proposed grant application and plan are incomplete.
  • The project impact, activity details, some of the responses, as well as alignment with the requested budget are unclear. Please write a detailed grant application that shows impact and the change you want to see; it should not be repetitive and should have well-planned activities and budget that align with your context.
  • Team's experience in the relevant activities is missing.

We recommend reaching out to your local Wikimedia affiliate to consult with them and enrich your Wikimedia journey and run any projects together or in collaboration with Wikimedia affiliates. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 12:35, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
