• We appreciate your work to organize a conference for Punjabi Wikimedians. The proposal is clear and the set goals are aligned with the desired change. We are glad to see that one of your priorities is to work on a shared strategy for the Punjabi community.

Questions and requests:

• You are required to provide a link to your Youth safety policy when the event indicates direct contact with children and youth. Please use the Wikimedia Foundation Friendly space policy and any local regulations to develop this safety policy. Add the youth safety policy link in your response to question 10.1.
  • Events or venues designed for young people aged 15–24 will have a safety plan for young attendees including, at minimum:
    1. a contact method displayed at the venue to reach qualified event staff if an attendee is concerned about their own or another young attendee’s safety and
    2. a method for ensuring the event or venue is not attended by uninvited guests.
    3. If the event or venue is overnight, it will also have a method for age-adequately and safely housing young attendees.
  • Conference organizers will have copies of the youth safety plan available for event attendees.

ਸ਼ੁਕਰੀਆ ਜੀ, ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਮਿਊਨਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣਗੇ। ਇਸਦੇ ਲਈ ਫਰੈਂਡਸ਼ਿਪ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਡਾਕੂਮੈਂਟ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਵੀ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ।https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IGc27gnPKgvKE46tw24JRAIpQfUqVZkpH2WuQrdbqT0/edit?usp=drivesdk ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਵੈਰੀਫਾਈ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਆ ਸਕੇ।

ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ:-

1. ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ/ਸਮੂਹ/ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮਸਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ ਤੇ ਲੋੜ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਇਹ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਚੈਨਲ, ਟੈਲੀਫੋਨ, ਈਮੇਲ, ਵਾਟਸਅਪ, ਟੈਲੀਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਜਾਂ ਵਨ ਟੂ ਵਨ ਕਨਵਰਸ਼ੈਸ਼ਨ ਰਾਂਹੀ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
2. ਅਸੀਂ ਸਕਾਲਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਹੀ ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਰਜ਼ਿਟਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਰਾਂਹੀ ਹੀ ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰ ਆ ਸਕਣਗੇ।
3. ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਿਤ ਸ਼ੈਸ਼ਨ/ਵਿਚਾਰ ਚਰਚਾ/ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਖਾਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਅਣਅਧਿਕਾਰਿਤ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਏਗੀ ਕਿ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਇਸਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ।

ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਿੱਸੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯੂਥ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਫਟੀ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਾਪੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।

ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰ ਸਕਾਲਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਭਰਨਗੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਚੈੱਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਦੀ ਕਮਿਊਨਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਚੈੱਕ ਕਰਨ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਜ਼ੀਹ ਦਵਾਂਗੇ।

ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਤਜ਼ਰਬਾ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀਂ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਕੀ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਅਟੈਂਡ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਟਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਵੈਂਟ ਆਰਗਨਾਈਜ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਤਜ਼ਰਬਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਪਾਲਿਸੀਆਂ ਵਰਤਾਂਗੇ- ਫਰੈਂਡਲੀ ਸਪੇਸ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ, ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਲ ਕੋਡ ਆਫ ਕੰਡਕਟ ਤੇ ਯੂਥ ਚਾਈਲਡ ਸੇਫਟੀ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ।

Status update - Proposed plan for unspent funds

Hello @Dugal harpreet,

This is a note to document that there is unspent funds from the current project of INR 75,563/- (USD 900.02).

Based on our correspondence, I understand the intent is to use the unspent funds for a workshop or training session on Wikimedia projects such as Wikimedia Commons and Wikisource to learn advanced tools and increase participation.

When you have more clarity on your overall project plans, please provide an update here so we can review and approve the reallocation. Here's an example, if you find it useful.

Hello @JChen (WMF), We are writing to you as the community is planning a one-day event so we wanted to ask you that if we can proceed it by using unspent fund from the previous one. Community is thinking to plan Wikidata Birthday by Community level Wikidata training cum edit-thon. For details, here's the link.

Hello @JChen (WMF), We have 55,563 INR as unspent funds and we want to use 20,000 INR for this event. We would like to request the utilization of ₹20,000 from unused funds to support an upcoming offline meeting of Punjabi Wikimedians, scheduled for 2nd March 2025 in Patiala.

The meeting aims to focus on two key discussions: 1. The Feminism and Folklore 2025 campaign, which will run from 25th February to 31st March 2025. 2. The strategic planning for the Punjabi Wikimedians’ annual plan for 2025, ensuring effective community participation and consensus-driven decision-making.

Additionally, we would like to inform you that Punjabi Wikimedians recently held a meeting with the Chandigarh Museum to explore the possibility of making rich museum works available in the public domain, which would be invaluable for the Punjabi language, culture, and region. The total expense for this meeting was ₹4,714 (food and travel).

We appreciate your consideration of this request and look forward to your approval. Please let us know if any further details are required.
