Grants talk:Programs/Wikimedia Community Fund/Rapid Fund/Tyap Dictionary Publishing Project (ID: 22830459)
Add topicEndorsement from Kambai Akau (talk)
[edit]This project is one which would revolutionize the activities of the Tyap Wikimedian by providing a hard and soft copy dictionary for appropriate word spellings in the Tyap language as well as the appropriate translation equivalents as found in the English language when translating from an English source to the Tyap language. We hope to see more publication works in the Tyap language which would be availed as open source documents for use on Wikimedia projects involving Tyap and related languages and dialects. This project will be useful for many Wikimedia projects like the Tyap Wikipedia, Tyap Wiktionary, Tyap lexemes on Wikidata, Translatewiki and Media-Wiki, Wikisource, and a host of many other projects. If approved, it would be a turning point for the entire Tyap Wikimedia community.

Endorsement from Friday musa (talk)
[edit]Strong support I hereby support this proposal because this project would provide and make this literacy material available for the Tyap language community to encourage them to revive the language and by extension the Tyap Wikimedians editors to fall back to as reference source of information with the right autography. This project would be a boost to the Tyap Wikimedians editors and I hope that it scales through.

Strong support Tyap Language is one of the endangered languages of the Middle Belt Region of Kaduna State, Nigeria. A mere cursory look at language literature emerging from this Region should leave one with many things to be desired as far as Tyap Language and the A̱tyap people are concerned. Apart from the general need of literature development in Tyap, the Dictionary Project is now given priority because of its importance in the development of the language which will engender the writing of many other kinds of literature. The dictionary project will fulfil the role of vocabulary development which is essential in the writing of any given literature in the language. It will serve a veritable tool in the teaching-learning processes of Tyap as proposed and projected by the Tyap Literacy Committee of the Tyap Language Development Board. This is why I do not dither in my endorsement of this proposal. Thank you.

Rapid Fund Request : Not Funded
[edit]Hello , thanks for submitting your Rapid Fund request. We appreciate your willingness to contribute to the Wikimedia Movement.
We have completed the initial review of your application and we decided to not fund it. We made this decision considering several factors:
- Completeness of the grant application, including amount of AI generated content.
- Clear goals, objectives, and impact aligned with the requested budget, activities and metrics.
- On-wiki experience of the main applicant and the team.
- Completeness of the proposed budget, including alignment of the proposed expenses with local costs.
- Additionally, the proposed work can be supported by the Tyap Wikimedians User Group that already has a general support grant and whose programming aligns with the work proposed here.
