This project is an insightful one in the sense that nothing much has been done on the Climate and Environmental Literacy from this part of the world; hence the need for the enlightenment.

This is a unique and viable project whose future impact is priceless. The proposal is clear and well written. The problem (intended to be solved) and the strategy(ies) for solving the problem are well articulated. The focus of the project align directly with the Foundation's strategy initiatives prioritized for implementation (environmental sustainability). In addition to the fact that the project fit well with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), it also has a twin objective of training and recruiting Wikimedia Editors as well as raising Climate Change and Environmental Champions. This proposal is clear and very timely, as it seek to address a global issue (climate change and environmental issues) albeit in an underrepresented region. I believe all sections are well developed, especially the targeted problem section, strategies to be adopted and the outlined activities to be the carried out. The budget for this proposal is also consistent with the identified goal, strategies and expected results for this project. I therefore strongly endorse this project and recommend that it be funded as a matter of priority. ID Cooln (talk) 06:25, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This proposal present an important problem in the society that can be largely addressed through education, sensitization and campaign. The proposal shows that the organizers know what they want to do and how they want to do it. The choice to take Climate and environmental education to two major higher institutions in River State is laudable and this could have a ripple effect in improving the climate and environmental literacy of residents in the state. I thought the budget for the project correspond well to the activities lined up for this project. InspirePhotos (talk) 16:40, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  1. This proposal is important to my community, because it will ultimately help improve the climate and environmental literacy levels in the state and a very important strategy to addressing environmental issues.
  2. The strategies, activities, and the levels of community engagement proposed is well developed to train, educate, and mentor selected undergraduate students from two higher institutions in Rivers State (Rivers State University and Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic) on climate change and environmental issues.
  3. The proposal focuses on a new interesting research as well as several studies (like Yakubu, 2018) that has identified environmental risk communication and environmental literacy as key strategies to addressing climate change and environmental problems which is inline with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. It also builds on learnings from past proposals developed by the individual or organization, or other Wikimedia communities hat is related to Climate Change action and promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  4. This proposal has a high tendency of contributing to the development of Education, Human Rights, Climate Change and sustainability in the Wikimedia movement.
  5. The proposal is coherent in terms of the objectives, strategies, budget and expected results which are carefully spelt out.
