I strongly endorse promoting Wikipedia at Bayero University Kano to bridge the gap between traditional research and digital resources, dispel reliability misconceptions, and empower the academic community in the digital age.

I wholeheartedly endorse the Wikimedia Awareness Initiative at Bayero University Kano. Gwanki and the team's proactive approach, discussions on community platforms, and outreach to the Hausa Wikimedians User Group leaders show a strong commitment to promoting open knowledge. This initiative aligns with our shared vision of spreading reliable knowledge and inspiring new contributors. Let's support and collaborate to make it a success! --Hamza DK (talk) 02:17, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

I strongly support bringing Wikipedia to Bayero University Kano. Gwanki, who has lots of experience with Wikipedia, is leading this project. He can help organize it well. This will teach people at the university that Wikipedia is reliable. They will get useful training, and a community of Wikipedia fans will grow at BUK. This project fits with the university's goal of improving education in the digital age. --Sadammuhammad11234 (talk) 05:51, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'm delighted to be one of the facilitators in this project. The project idea comes from Gwanki, but we had in-depth discussions about it before applying. Bayero University Kano is the second-largest university in Northern Nigeria, yet there has never been any Wikipedia awareness initiative there. This project is crucial, not only for raising awareness but also for engaging Wikipedia editors from the university. The project is well-planned, and because of Gwanki's extensive experience in leading Wikimedia projects, I believe he can effectively lead this initiative.

The project at Bayero University Kano is important. It helps people at the university learn about Wikimedia projects like Wikipedia. The ways they plan to do this, like trips and online training, cover everything well.

What's great is they want to clear up wrong ideas about Wikipedia and create a lasting community at the university. It also fits with what Wikimedia wants to do. They learned from past projects and have a clear plan and budget.

In short, this project is a big help. It teaches, connects, and follows Wikimedia's goals.
