Sharing the Grant with the Arabic-speaking community[edit]

Hello,

I shared the grant proposal on Arabic Wikipedia village pump (الميدان) for their opinions and further enhancement. Nada.FA (talk) 07:34, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Application Withdrawn[edit]

Hello,

I have withdrawn the grant application due to the defamation, personal attack, and accusations of lack of collaboration. Due to the ongoing war in Gaza, I have Wikimedia as my safe space and good place to contribute and share knowledge.

The 2022 Ambassadors from the MENA region attacked me personally as uncooperative, as I didn't consult them on the grant. I believe more people should be allowed to take the lead on the ambassador program to allow for more diversity and inclusion. I did collaborate with them when I was asked to give my feedback, I did it twice on Meta-wiki and during 1:1 meeting with @دنيا(Donia). I also opened discussion for everyone to collaborate on this grant.

The 2022 team of Ambassadors from the MENA region are also accusing the current application of not representing the Arabic-speaking Community. While I put in my mind the different needs of my community and the struggle they face to keep up with strategy trends and ongoing charter work. I even thought of people who can't make it to the online meetings. As a displaced person, I understand that and I put it as priority to make everyone feel included.

I have asked them in the discussion in the village pump on Arabic Wikipedia about the kind of collaborations they are looking for, but found no answers, just repeating the same accusations.

I have zero tolerance for this toxicity for merely trying to contribute to MC Ambassadors Program.

For the reasons mentioned above, I withdraw this grant application.

Thank you for your time and efforts.Nada.FA (talk) 08:42, 13 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
