Grants talk:Project/Rapid/AGRIPO/Wiki-agripo 1.0 : Online publication of free-use data and images on plants in Cameroon/Report

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Hello Elns thank you so much for this thorough and well documented grant report. Really enjoyed reading the learnings. You've done a great job of developing a cohort of volunteers that work well together and collaborate on the projects. I am also glad to see that you're continuing the project with a new team of contributors. Here are a couple of comments on your project:

  1. You stated that one of the things that didn't work well is finding information on Cameroon's plants. Have you considered partnering with the library or other institutions that can provide this information more readily to your group?
  2. Thank you for the detailed documentation of your expenses. Just wanted to ask for future scholarship receipts to include the date on the form so we can easily link it to the grant term as well.

I have accepted this report and look forward to reading the outcomes from your next project. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 18:51, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks WJifar (WMF) for the positive feedback
Yes, we try to mobilise institutions and scientists to help us to find more information on Cameroon's plants. However, we do not yet succeed. Scientists are usually afraid by wikipedia criteria. They want to mention their name on their contributions. They also prefere to work on scientific publications. However, we have a great movement on accessibility of information on plants of Cameroon. More than 1,000 plants are now in the dedicated portal
Yes, on the future, we will include date on scholarship receipts.

Best regards. Elns (talk)
