Hello Aliyu shaba, thanks for submitting this Rapid Grant request. I have reviewed it and have some questions and requests:

  • In the probox, please add the total requested amount in NGN.
  • Please respond to question #4 and follow the Risk Assessment Protocol if needed.
  • We now require all grantees to announce their projects and receive the community feedback in advance. Could you please announce this project and grant on the relevant community pages on the target wiki(s)? Community notification may be most appropriate on a village pump, talk page, or mailing list. Please paste a link into the proposal page to where the relevant communities have been notified of this proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions.
  • Do you have any experience of running Wikimedia events in your community?
  • Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high-quality content? If not, how will you support them?
  • Could you please elaborate on the activities you plan to carry out? Do you plan to add citations or create new articles? If you plan to add citations, approximately how many articles will you improve? Please add that number as a target.
  • You named your event “1Internet 1reference”. Is it connected to the 1lib1ref campaign in any way?
  • You mentioned that you expect to have 25 participants for 6 events. This is ~4 participants in each event. And given that you have another 2 trainers, does it mean that you only expect to have 1 another editor in each event?
  • How come you want to reach out to 50 new participants, while only having 25 total participants?
  • How do you plan to track the participants' contributions? Will you prepare any list of articles for the events?
  • Please provide a more detailed budget breakdown — include the number of units and unit prices for each budget item.
  • Is the “Computer and Projector” expense for equipment purchasing or rental?

I want to change to 10 may, 2021 as the starting and 25 may, 2021 as the ending date. DSaroyan (WMF)

  • Total amount to requested in added to the Probox.
  • The ricks assessment tool link is provided as requested
  • I have notified Wikipedias in hausa Wikipedia community portal, and a link is provided
  • I have moderate experience of running event, but with the help of other fascillitators the User:anasskoko and User:Musa Vacho77 we can surely make the event successful
  • The participates does not have equipments like computers, so we will provide Participants with all equipments needed drive the event, we will also support them on how to carry out the activities and make a quality content
  • we plan to do it both, add citations to exactly 150 articles and to create 50 new articles with good citations, making 200 articles in total
  • No it is not connected to 1library 1reference but there is a similarities, as both is to make citation, this Project will make citations from internet, while 1library 1reference makes citation from library only
  • new the confusion is solved, it is from event 2 days for online training and 2 days for in person event for each day out of the from all the there organizers will be present, similarly to all the 25 Participants
  • Typing error, it is 25 newly Participants through out the event, but we will engaged five experience editors from Hausa Wikipedia, to Improve their skills and experience
  • we will track Participants Contribution by using Hash tag #1i1R also we will create a Category to list the 200 articles that we will work on, 50 new articles and 150 existing articles, here is the link https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:1Internet_1Reference I will add it to the grand page
  • Details budget have been provided, and a units price to item is specified

Hello Aliyu shaba, thank you for your response. We think that the following expenses of the proposed budget are higher from what we usually approve for the similar grants from Nigeria. We request that you provide more details about these expenses and/or any links that may accommodate the review process:

  • 1. Transportation, Unit 290 USD - 114,683 NGN
    • Day 1 will cost 145 USD - 55,615 NGN
    • Day 2 will cost 145 USD - 55,615 NGN
  • 2. Data, Unit 350 USD - 134,244 NGN
    • Day 1 online training will cost 175 USD - 67,122 NGN
    • Day 2 online training will cost 175 USD - 67,122 NGN
  • 5. Hall for 4 days, Unit 630 USD - 241,639 NGN
    • Day 1 will cost 315 USD - 120,820 NGN
    • Day 2 will cost 315 USD - 120,820 NGN

Hello David, I have Reduce the amount from the budget section, I update the amount in the Probox.
I hope you can understand the budget details, If you did not please point out the number of the budget, Which you did not understand so that i can make it clear to you, The mistake i have made was by congestion the unit price and the total amount of items, Which was corrected earlier.User:DSaroyan (WMF)
