Hi Aristidek5maya, thank you for submitting your grant application. After reviewing your grant proposal, we have some questions to learn more about the project and planned activities.

  • Thanks for submitting a comprehensive and complete grant request!
  • Are you coordinating these activities with Wikimedia Cote d'Ivoire? Have you notified them about this project?
  • What would you and your team want to learn by running this project?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks for your time, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 15:14, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DSaroyan (WMF) ,
  • No I do not coordinate these activities with Wikimedia Côte d'Ivoire. This is an individual project that follows the Wikimedia Training Tour in Bouaké project that I piloted between December 2021 and February 2022.
  • Yes, the members of the community are informed, because it was after having received the information that they endorsed the project.

However, the only help that I asked the president of Wikimedia Côte d'Ivoire for the execution of this project is at the level of the signing of the training certificates to be given to the participants. Because I could not afford to put my signature on the Wikimedia training certificates instead of the president of our User Group, so I asked for his help for the signature only of the training certificates to be given to the participants. And so that it doesn't pose a conflict of interest problem, I suggested that he speak to Veronica or you, Davit, once the proposal was approved to clarify things at this level. Because as I indicated in the report of the Wikimedia Training Tour in Bouaké project, the Universities I have visited so far are increasingly asking that at the end of our training, certificates be issued to participants. And since these certificates must be signed either by the Wikimedia foundation or by an affiliate to make them more credible, this is why I have requested the help of the president of Wikimedia Côte d'Ivoire to do so, if my grant application is approved. I think that by responding to the request of the Universities in this way (by issuing training certificates to the participants), this will strengthen the trust and collaboration between us and the said establishments for future Wikimedia projects.

  • By carrying out this project, I would like to learn more about what our Wikimedia Club members are most interested in, not only among Wikimedia projects, but also in terms of learning, and how to use them to facilitate their inclusion and retention in movement ; then share this experience with the other organizers/trainers of our User Group. I would also like to test new teaching methods based on the opinions of the participants of the previous project (Wikimedia Training Tour in Bouaké) to improve my experience as a volunteer trainer.

As for my project assistant, who is the president of the Yamoussoukro Wikimedia Club, I would like her to learn more about the techniques of organizing Wikimedia events in order to be able to implement it in their locality by the deployment of Wikimedia activities within the Club. Cordially --Aristidek5maya (talk) 17:00, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Project end date postponement request[edit]

Hello DSaroyan (WMF), I hope you are well? Due to the late arrival of funds for my Rapid grant project, I would like the end date of the project to be pushed back to August 30th please. Because it is now that we are going to start training. Thanks.Aristidek5maya (talk) 22:08, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
