Comments about the remaining funds[edit]

Dear DSaroyan (WMF). Regarding the return of funds by UG Wiki Movimento Brasil, in contact with CCosta (WMB) and our professional accountant, the transfer of the amount will take place on Monday, May 18, since the bank exchange bureau team asked for the contract to be sent again today. Thank you very much and stay safe!--GFontenelle (WMB) (talk) 21:40, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello GFontenelle (WMB), thanks for letting us know! I am glad that you figured out the working refund method. After transfer is made, please send the transfer receipt to grantsadmin_at_wikimedia.org. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 06:31, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Report accepted[edit]

Hello GiFontenelle, thanks for submitting this comprehensive final report. I reviewed it and have the following questions and comments:

  • I am glad that despite considerable challenges due to COVID-19, you successfully transformed the events and organized them online. I'm really sorry for these challenges that surely disrupted some of your plans. What resources have you used to modify the planned events? Could you please share some of the most useful ones?
  • I acknowledge that some of the participants have not registered on the Outreach Dashboard due to technical difficulties. However, could you please link the dashboards on the report page? It seems that the links are missing.
  • Thanks for your detailed reporting and for providing links to the event pages. It helps the reader to dive into your work and understand the outcomes better.
  • As communicated over email, the remaining funds have been received by WMF.

Thanks again for your amazing work! I have accepted your final report and expense documents. This grant is now complete. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 17:11, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DSaroyan (WMF)! Thank you so much for your considerations and for accepting the final report and expense documents.
Answering your questions:
  • I’m not totally certain I understood the question, but I believe the only real resource we used to modify the planned events was the amount used for food. We thought it would be appropriate to offer food reimbursement to, at least, those who participated organizing or presenting the events.
We would have liked to relocate more, but at the time of events, as it was still very early in the period of social detachment due to the coronavirus, we were not sure what to do and how to deal with the new reality of remote events.
Now, after a few months, we realized that the separate amount for the space rental could have been used for a paid transmission platform (StreamYard or Zoom, for example), which most likely would have increased participation and engagement.
Now that we know that, we subscribed to the StreamYard service, using the sAPG amount, as described here. This has been great for a few events already and has increased participation.
Finally, I think you might like to know that we are continuing with the Artes+Feminismos na Lusofonia 2020 campaign!
Together with the Coletiva NaPupila, WMB is holding monthly events to talk about women and the arts. At first, the initiative will happen for the next three months, but it can continue. Every month there are two days of event: the first with a theoretical presentation and the second with the actual edit-a-thon.
Here’s the page and dashboard for the first one.
