Hello Checkingfax I would like to proceed with this grant request; however, we are still looking to receive your report from Bay Area WikiSalon that was due on September 14, 2017. - @WJifar (WMF) and Checkingfax: The report of the original series is under review and the remaining funds can be used under series II if that is approved. For continuity it would therefore be desirable to consider this approval a bit before the next scheduled installment (sept 26). Checkingfax: I think we should move the starting date to September 26. Budget question[edit]
Hello @WJifar (WMF):, can we use this budget also for related (smaller) activities in the Bay Area? For example, we are hosting an edit- and upload-a-thon at the Prelinger Library in February, and were wondering if we could use some of this budget for refreshments for that event (and potentially for future similar events). - Hello Nikikana, thank you for your question. It seems to me that this event is similar to the wiki salon series you carry-on throughout the year and is targeting the same audience. Yes you can use the budget you have since it's within at least two of your project goals to socialize with community members and improve content.
