@Blossom Ozurumba: Hi Blossom, and thanks for your report on this edit-a-thon series focused on developing biographies of Igbo women. Here are my comments and questions:

  • Congratulations on the official recognition of Igbo Wikimedians User Group. It sounds like these events helped bring a community of contributors to work together and learn from each other. During these events, did you discuss future events or program you'd like to do together as a group?
  • I'm glad to hear that the social media campaign for these events was effective in attracting participants. It seems like it was especially good at bringing in people who are new to editing. In the proposal, you noted that you were planning to use a Telegram group and a mailing list to invite participants. Did you end up using these? Were there other social media platforms or approaches you used in your campaign to invite people to the edit-a-thons?
  • Thanks for all your work preparing the pages for each event in the series, including providing an agenda and participants. I noticed most of the events lack a list of articles that were worked on during the session-- would you be able to fill those in?

I will be approving this report, but when you're able, please respond to my questions above. Thanks again to you and the Igbo Wikimedians User Group for your leadership in planning and facilitating these events, and for your focus on developing content on Igbo women important in your community.
