Reports due date extension[edit]

Hi Alex Wang (WMF), I wish to seek a three weeks extension to complete the report for this grant. After the WLM campaign things got a little bit tensed with plans for Wiki Indaba, hence my inability to complete in due time. A report will duly be sent in three weeks if granted my request for extension. --Flixtey (talk) 23:55, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for checking in, Flixtey. We completely understand the delay and approve your request for an extension on the report to March 6, 2017. --KHarold (WMF) (talk) 01:42, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I am really excited for the extension KHarold (WMF) and will do my best to get the report up in due time. --Flixtey (talk) 08:30, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Review and Questions[edit]

Hi Flixtey.

Thank you so much for submitting your Final Report. It was great to hear about your new record on uploaded photos and the kind of efforts that were put on to make this contest successful.
This Report is now Accepted. We have a few questions, and I look forward to getting your responses.

  • How do you plan on making contacts for future projects/contests with places of interest that are far away?
  • Is there a different photogroup that you could partner with in the future or if there is not, is there a way to ensure programmes don't clash?

You have noted in your grant that you have USD$18.11. Please let us know at your earliest convenience how you are planning on reallocating those funds to other mission aligned activities. If you could send a receipt when you use those leftover funds, that would be wonderful.
Thank you again for your hard work. Best, --SMalik (WMF) (talk) 23:34, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the acceptance SMalik (WMF).
  • Places that we were unable to meet any caretaker, we made contacts with people around we could get back to once we were ready to visit same places again. Also places that were unable to visit at all we will work through contacts of the Ghana Monuments Board to have a prior conversation with someone on the ground before departing.
  • We have discussed details of the partnership with the photography group and have realigned activities to avoid clashes. We have been able to also partner a new group of photographers who will complement our activities in the coming year.
The remaining amount of $18.11 will be kept and used in our next grant as it costs almost $94 to resend this amount back and hence may not be reasonable use of funds.--Flixtey (talk) 12:45, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
