Thank you for applying to host a local meetup at the Wikimedia Hackathon! We are so grateful you took the time to put together a proposal, and are highly impressed by your work. We have some questions regarding your application. Please address these questions as soon as possible.
- There is another meetup proposal for a community relatively near Chennai. Would you be open to combining with their local meetup? If so, we can adjust the requested funding upward.
- Would you be interested in having a WMF staff member attend or support the event? (This will not affect your application).

Thank you for applying to host a local meetup at the Wikimedia Hackathon. We are so grateful you took the time to put together a proposal, but unfortunately we will not be able to fund your proposal at this time. This was the first time the Hackathon organizers ran a grant program, and because of limited resources we were not able to accept most of the proposals we received.
Please do not let this decision dissuade you from applying for another Rapid Grant in the future. We strongly encourage you to resubmit this proposal for other grant opportunities.
