Hello Zawthet, thank you again for submitting this rapid grant request. I have a couple of follow up questions for you before we can proceed:

  1. What are the prizes you're proposing for this contest? From your table I'm understanding it to be cash prizes. Unfortunately, we are no longer allowing cash prizes. You can look at our guidelines and criteria for alternate prize options. Please let us know what you would like to give out as prizes instead of cash prizes.
  2. Can you let me know how you estimated 1500+ photos will be uploaded? Can you let me know how many you've uploaded in past events?

Hello WJifar (WMF),
  1. I understood that previously we can award the cash prize. Since the cash prize is not allowed anymore, we are considering to pay for Internet/Mobile Internet Bill equivalent to cash prize as a reward. Is it allowable? Otherwise, we will consider other options.
  2. Unfortunately, this is the first contest that we are organizing inside Myanmar. So, we do not have past records. But, our estimation is as follows: If we can organize 100 users per contest and they can upload average of 8 photos, we can get around 1600 photo upload to the Wikimedia for 2 contests. Most of our team members are residing in two major cities of Myanmar (Yangon & Mandalay), we plan to organize 30 contestants in each city and we also plan to organize additional 40 contestants online.

Request Extension of Project[edit]

Hi, I wish to request extension of project up to 30 October 2018. We have already finished photo contest for Myanmar Settlement on 20 September 2018. The seminar will be held on 14 October 2018. The second photo contest (Myanmar Culture) will be end on 20 October 2018. So, we wish to spend until 30 October 2018 (10 days) for evaluation of prices and award the recipients accordingly.
