Hello Obihoja, thank you for this grant request and for running Art and Feminism campaign in Nigeria. I have the following questions and comments.

  • Am I correct that the Accommodation expenses include space rental costs? Could you please also specify what expenses are budgeted in the Entertainment expenses?
  • Will you be using the Outreach dashboard when monitoring your events? Will you prepare a list of articles of Nigerian women to edit at the events?
  • In which city of Nigeria will the events take place?

Thanks for your questions.

  • By accommodation expenses i means the cost of renting a place that the edit a thon will be carried out. This cost also includes the cost of data to be used during each session which is part of the services to be provided by the meeting room we are renting.
  • the expenses i budgeted in the entertainment is cost of food and drinks that i will provide during each of the sessions.
  • yes i will use outreach dashboard for the events. we will also prepare a list of articles of Nigerian women that will be edited.
  • the edit a thon will take place in Abuja Nigeria.

Request to modify grant activities[edit]

Hello DSaroyan (WMF) I have not been able to carry out this project due to the Covid 19 pandemic. However since this pandemic appear not to be ending soon, I now wish to carry out this project online. I have contacted the intended participants and some other wikimedians and we agreed that we could do the project online. Before starting the project, we will conduct an online zoom meeting to educate participants on editing wikipedia, outreach dash board and the general modalities. The project will then start. Throughout the period of the project, we also hope to be holding zoom meetings. On the budget issues, i intend to carry out the project with the same budget. I will convert the earlier budgeted cost for renting a place for the edit a thon to cover cost of 4 laptops which i will hire for some participants that don't have laptops. it will also cover the cost of data which will be paid for every participant in the project and the cost of Zoom meeting. The budgeted cost for Food and Drink will still be used only that this time, the catering service provider to be retained will have to deliver food to the participants in their places which, in this period, is the new normal means of service delivery in that sector. The only difference is that it could cost a little more but i believe that i can manage. i apply for your approval for me to carry out this project online as i am ready to commence as soon as you approve. Date extension request[edit]

Dear DSaroyan (WMF) I apply for an extension of time for me to carry out this project. I apply that the project now be carried out from 19th September 2020 to 19th December 2020. Following my earlier application, you had approved that I carry out the project online. I mistakenly believed that that approval also allows me to extend the period that I will carry out the project. I sincerely apologize for that error.
