Hello Psalmbusy, thanks for submitting this Rapid Fund request. We are glad to learn that you are planning to run a series of follow-up training sessions after successfully completing the Instagram campaign. I have a few comments and requests after reviewing your application:

  • Please share the Risk Assessment tool document, so that it is accessible to everyone through the link.
Done, as the Risk Assessment document is now made open.
  • What will be the event location?
The event location will be at Lagos, Nigeria.
  • Do you have a schedule for your training sessions?
Yes, i just created one now on the grant page.
  • How will you track participants’ contributions? Additionally, will you prepare a list of suggested articles?
Contributions will be tracked using the outreach dashboard created already here and yes suggested articles will be curated as that's ongoing.
  • The target wikis you mentioned are Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata.
    • In which languages will you edit on Wikipedia?
The edit will be mainly on the English Wikipedia.
    • Could you please add relevant targets for Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata to the Impact section?
Relevant sections target have been adjusted.
  • You mentioned that there would be 30 participants in each event. Does this number also include the number of organizers?

Budget:

For this, i omitted the 4 organizers and have reviewed it to reflect as atleaast 30 new participants will be present excluding the organizers.
  • I think the Space rental price is high. Could you please provide a link to the event space you will be renting?
The rental space is even discounted as the space comes with power, projector and other audio appliances; see a link to the proposed rental space here couple with the price.
  • How many times do you plan to offer food to participants?
The food will be served to the participants once each day but aside the food, the food and drinks budget also covers the tea break.
  • Since you will offer branded noses and certificates to the participants, please reduce the prize budget to 200 USD.
Alright, the prize budget has been reduced to 200 USD as advised.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 13:14, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear DSaroyan (WMF), thank for you the questions and review, i have responded to all of your comments. Thanks once again and best regards. Psalmbusy (talk) 01:59, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Psalmbusy, thanks for your responses.
  • I see that you have reduced the prize amount but instead increased the food costs. I think this is not a constructive approach. Please reduce the food costs to 10 USD per person. Please update the total requested budget once updates are made.
  • The space you are planning to rent offers internet and router to access internet. I don't understand why you are planning to rent an additional router and purchase internet data. Could you please explain?
Looking forward to your response. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 11:28, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you DSaroyan (WMF) for the review and additional comments.
  • Sorry about the misunderdtanding but I did not increase the food cost at all, I only added 4 more numbers to total people so to reflect the organizers as it was ommitted initially and you pointed it out. It was initially 30 participants and hence I added 4(organizers/facilitator) to reflect the organizers, sorry about the misunderstanding but I have reduced the cost to 10 USD each since you insisted even though the cost of 12 USD initially was calculated to cover the food, drinks and tea break.
  • The hall space internet is actually down/poor hence the discount to 170 USD instead of the 196 USD advertised on the website since we will be providing our better internet.
Thanks and please let me know if you have any more questions. Best regards Psalmbusy (talk) 13:16, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
