Questions about your report[edit]

Hello, Tulsi Bhagat and team! Thank you for your patience as we review your report. We're glad to see that the celebration of Maithili Wikipedia drew a large number of people, and hope that this was an encouraging event for them to continue contributing or begin to engage more with the Maithili community. Before accepting your report, I have a few questions:

  1. You mentioned connecting with members of JCI Janakpur about contributing to Wikipedia more--since they are focused on developing leadership skills for youth in local communities, do you plan to interact with them more closely with the Wikimedia projects? Could you say more about their work and how they could affect the Maithili Wikimedia community?
  2. How have you been able to follow-up with the participants after the event? Do they have feedback for future events or projects for your community?
  3. Have you noticed an increase or change in the number of page views and engagement on Maithili articles after this event? What would be helpful information (number of edits, active editors, or other types of data, for example) for you in the future to see?

I have also reviewed the expense documentation for this project. We are missing one receipt for communication charges. Could you kindly send that to us at grantsadmin(_AT_)wikimedia.org? Once we receive that, we can mark your grant report as complete. In the meantime, we also look forward to your responses and updates about this project.

Thank you for your work for the movement! Best, Morgan Jue (WMF) (talk) 20:45, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Morgan Jue (WMF), Thank you for asking questions. I am glad to answer it.
  1. Yes, we plan to interact with them more closely with the Wikimedia projects. Indeed, they are a global movement, and focused on developing leadership skills for youth in local communities. Here in Nepal, very few people know about Wikipedia and/or Wikimedia projects. So, we planned, and focused on raising awareness about Wikipedia. Thus, we collaborated with them in the auspicious occasion of this 4th anniversary of Maithili Wikipedia. We have shared about Wikimedia Movement with them. Probably, they have visited our community even once for sure. In this way, They certainly affect in increasing our siteviews.
  2. We are in touch with them in social media sites, and also have their contact numbers. They are agreed with us, and planning to work together in future.
  3. Yes, we have noticed an increment in the number of siteviews. Number of active editors will be helpful for us to bring in our community.

Many thanks for reviewing the expense documentation of this project. As you informed one receipt for communication charges is missing, truly sorry for this. I am sending you the receipt right away. Thank you for your consideration. Kind regards, — Tulsi Bhagat (contribs | talk) 07:45, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
