Hello Akin ojonij, thanks for submitting a new Rapid Grant application. We are glad to learn that you plan to run another event at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism. I have a few questions after reviewing your proposal:

  • The Risk Assessment document you provided has been created by User:Wikimedia Nigeria for the Black Climate Rights editathon grant project. It is unacceptable to provide a Risk Assessment document that has been created for another event. Please create a new Risk Assessment form for your project and fill it out with your event information. Could you also explain in your response why you have linked a Risk Assessment document from another project instead of creating a new one?
Kindly accept my sincere apology for the mixup, as a new person in the system, I thought I could adopt a Risk Assessment document from another project with similar features to my project. That won't happen again.
  • Could you please specify what these expenses will cover?
  • Alternative Power - are you going to rent this equipment?
  • Public Address System
The above mentioned expenses will cover the cost of renting the Alternative Power and Public Address System for the 2day event.
  • Could you confirm that this grant is not requested on behalf of Wikimedia Nigeria User Group?
The grant is not requested on behalf of Wikimedia Nigeria User Group. It's an individual grant.

Request for extension[edit]

Greetings!, DSaroyan (WMF),

I wish to thank the Foundation for supporting the training of students at Nigerian Institute of Journalism. The calendar of the institution has been altered, due to issues around the education system in the country.
