Hello Din-nani1, thanks for submitting this Rapid Grant request. I’m glad that you are organizing the local WLM contest in Ghana. I have a few questions after reviewing your proposal:

  • Could you please make the community notification in advance? We request that you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal and provide links to on-wiki pages where you have informed these communities about your proposed work. Please add this links under question #2.
  • Is this grant requested on behalf of Dagbani Wikimedians User Group? If it’s not, are you holding any leading positions at this or any other User Group?
  • Please confirm that you have discussed with your community that you will be leading this year’s WLM contest. Additionally, please confirm that this will be the only WLM grant from Ghana and that the mentioned prizes are for the local contest winners.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 12:32, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am grateful for you taking time to review our proposal. Below are clarification in respect to the questions asked:

  • I am co-organizing the project with Bright Ayisi--Bright Kwame Ayisi (talk) 20:58, 22 August 2021 (UTC) an experienced Wikimedian based in the Southern part of Ghana who is not a member of the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group and to avoid conflict of interest, we decided to jointly apply as individuals. But because some of the photo walks will be in the north, the Dagbani Wikimedians will be invited to join the photo walks.[reply]

Withdrawal from Wiki Loves Monuments 2021[edit]

I was suppose to collaborate with the Dagbaani User Group this year to organize Wiki Loves Monuments 2021 in Ghana but due some reasons beyond my control and my team, I would like to withdraw my involvement in this year's Wiki Loves Monuments. I wish to have no involvement with regards to the grant and completely separate myself from it. Thank you.--Bright Kwame Ayisi (talk) 23:29, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
