Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Wiki Loves Monuments Panama 2016/Report

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Thank you for this report, Monica. Congratulations on surpassing your goals for the number of participants and the number of photographs contributed. I appreciated the gallery of photographs from the awards ceremony that you included in this report. It is nice to see photographs of the people who were involved. I saw in your results, that you personally added a lot of the photographs to Wikipedia yourself, which generated a good use rate. If you do a similar project in the future, we recommend that you think of ways to get more volunteers involved in this aspect of the contest. After all, if you someday organize a very successful contest with lots of photos, it may not be practical for you to add every photo to an article yourself :)

Regarding the underspend, I have simply extended the end date of your grant to 1 May 2017, so that you have time to use the remaining funds for printing for the exhibition in April. You'll need to submit a brief update to this report in April to tell us about how the exhibition went, and send your remaining receipt for the printing to us once you're done. In the mean time, this interim report is accepted. Best, Winifred Olliff (WMF Program Officer) talk 23:24, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your feedback. Indeed we need more volunteer involvement in Wikipedia editing for future events. Regarding the exhibition, I appreciate the opportunity to use the remaining funds in April, when we will update this report with the results. Thank you again. --Ayaita (talk) 18:37, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
