Questions from WMF[edit]

Hi, Wikimedia Ghana User Group and SandisterTei, thank you for submitting this rapid grant request. We have one question about it:

  • We consider t-shirts to be a high-cost item and prefer that they are reserved for a small number of people, either volunteers or top prize winners. Would it be possible for you to reduce the number of t-shirts requested from 30 to 5? If so, please make this adjustment to your proposal and let us know when you have.

We have received a high volume of proposals, which is causing a delay in our review process. We appreciate your patience and will respond to yours with a decision as soon as possible. Please email <rapidgrants@wikimedia.org> if you have any questions. Best regards, LSmith (WMF) (talk) 22:59, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi LSmith (WMF),

Unfortunately, we have 10 volunteers who are going to help us with work on both days so we can only reduce the t-shirts to 15 which would be 10 for volunteers and 5 would be for top prize winners on both days. re:publica Accra is expecting 800 - 1000 people across Africa so we want to be engaged as possible to make sure the Wikimedia community is well represented. Have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi, Owula kpakpo, thank you for clarifying that point! I will communicate that with Woubzena, the program officer for rapid grants and we will get any further questions and/or an answer to you as soon as possible. Best regards, LSmith (WMF) (talk)
