Hi Nevborg, and thanks for preparing this report on your WLM event in Malta. I'm glad to hear the event is becoming better known by locals and that it motivates them to both engage with Wikimedia projects and places of cultural and historical significance. Here are my comments and questions about your event and outcomes:

  • You've done a great job of giving new contributors an opportunity to contribute, and it's clear your participants were enthusiastic about doing so. Getting 80% of your participants -- the majority of which were new editors -- to create an account is also a big achievement, so I appreciate your work in giving participants the chance to consider contributing again in the future and inviting them to join a project.
  • Is there a link available, perhaps a category or an event page, to the photos that were taken by participants? The GLAMorous tool is a useful one for compiling a list of these photos if these photos were tagged with a category on Commons. I'm especially interested in seeing the photos taken by the contest winners!
  • Related to the above, is there any update on the number of photos used on-wiki? GLAMorous is also able to determine this assuming there is a category to track for the photos.
  • There are a few receipts you had let us know you were waiting to receive from vendors earlier in January, I'll contact you over e-mail about these.

I have nominally approved this report, but when you're able, please let us know about the remaining receipts and respond to my questions above. Thanks so much for your thoughtful work in engaging with newcomers, creating opportunities for them to contribute, and developing quality cultural content about Malta.
