Midpoint Report accepted[edit]

Dear TheNEBstudio and Opsylac,

Thank you for submitting this Midpoint Report. I am accepting it now with the following comments:

  • It sounds like things are coming along very well. Congratulations on your work to date!
  • I'm glad to hear that you have hired someone who will help create materials that incorporate African culture and that speak in authentic ways to people of African descent. We appreciate the effort to make the creative process more inclusive, as well as the materials.
  • Thank you for sharing some of the important discussions that came from your listening sessions. It makes sense that precision is especially important in finding language to talk about both knowledge and communities that have been marginalized. As we aim to increase knowledge equity in the movement, working together to build more capacity among more people to understand nuances like these, and to talk about this subject with more sensitivity and self-awareness about impact is really valuable. So I appreciate your willingness to go through a process of listening and to share learning through the podcast.
  • The Commons category that you linked to appears to be empty. Has it been moved? Or perhaps you haven't put images there yet?
  • You mentioned that things have moved more slowly than you expected because of various impacts, including the pandemic. Keep in mind that you are very welcome to use the extension request button at the bottom of your timeline page to extend the end date of your project. Just ping me by email if you do, so I will see it and can approve it.

I'm so very excited to see the materials that you will be creating for this project! Good luck with the rest of your work!

Warm regards,
