Request funded[edit]

Dear Elvonudinium,

Typically we do not fund participation in Wikimedia events, particularly those that already offer scholarships. However, because the Wikimedia Foundation is not funding this event, because your volunteer contribution history is very strong and because there is endorsement for your participation, we are happy to approve this request.

Please make sure to read all of the steps for your grant as described in "How the program works". You are accountable for all of the requirements described on that page.

In particular, please take care to prepare an outcome to submit as part of your post-event report, which is due 14 days after the event. We recommend that you start planning your outcome now, Note that an outcome does not include the materials you prepare to present at the event, though we’d like you to link to those in your report, too. An outcome is something that is created during or after the event because of your participation that extends the value of your participation beyond the conference participants. For example, your outcome could be something new that was co-created by you and your fellow participants at the event, like one or more articles on Wikipedia improving content about a topic that conference participants know about. Your outcome can also be blog post you write after the event to share your experience with others. You may also write a learning pattern to teach others something you've learned at the event. Fulfilling the outcome requirement tends to be the most challenging task for TPS recipients, so again, please plan ahead.

Our Grants Administrator will be in touch with you about your grant. Thank you for work on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation.
