Endorsement by Olabisi11 (talk) This project is important because it will help train the University of Ibadan community about the workings of Wikicommons and to fill the gap in knowledge. I endorse the projectOlabisi11 (talk)

Comments[edit]

Dear Temilolub.52021,

Thank you for submitting this grant application. The Wikimedia Usergroup Nigeria community Support Fund Committee has reviewed your application and they have some follow-up questions and requests regarding your application:

  • Please update your project end date.
  • Also, please confirm your metrics in terms of the number of images or videos you intend to produce due to this training.
  • What role will Olabisi11 and Ngostary2k play in the entire project?
  • We feel the banner and poster for a single event for #45,000 is too high and beyond our funding limit. Please reduce.
  • Also please remove the videography fee as we feel it's not necessary for a single-day event and also get a photography service of not more than #15,000.
  • Lastly, please explain how this project will further increase the activeness of Wikimedia project at the University of Ibadan?

We look forward to your response and we thank you for the work you do within the Wikimedia Nigeria movement.

On behalf of the WUGN Community Support Fund Committee. All the best, Ayokanmi (WUGN) (talk) 18:17, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

1. Project ends October 2022 after the event on the 8th September, 2022. There will be a follow up activities during the period.
2. Images intended to be contributed to the Wiki Commons will be 50 and above.
3. Olabisi11 and Ngostary2k will support the event if available during the period of the training.
4. The amount earmarked for the poster is already below the rate for quality printing.
5. Videography and photography is essential for this project, hence cost of #15,000 is inadequate for carrying out the project phase.
6. the project will emphasise more on awareness of the Wikimedian movement in my community at the University of Ibadan and also, will help to recruit more of Wikipedia editors. Thank you. Temilolub.52021 (talk) 12:17, 4 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Temilolub.52021:,

Thank you once again for providing responses and apologies for just getting back to you.

After a thorough review by the WUGN Community Support Fund Committee, they have requested an adjustment before they can go forward with the grant funding.

Please reduce:

  • Rollup banner, fliers, and Posters to not more than #15,000 as we strongly feel that a one-off program like this does not require a rollup banner but an online design and banner for awareness.
  • Lastly, please remove the videography as we also strongly feel it's not needed for a project like this. The budget for photography is enough to do both if needed.

Please make this needed adjustment so we can move on with the grant application.

Once again, thanks for all the work you do within the Wikimedia movement in Nigeria.
