Dear Yemi festus

The Wikimedia User Group Nigeria community support fund committee has further reviewed your application, and while the idea is excellent, they have some follow-up questions and requests regarding your application:

  • While your proposal stated there will be only two facilitators (who doesn't seem experienced), your transportation cost is high and you are making provisions for four facilitators. You have to adjust this section of the budget.
  • The cost of the internet is also on the high side. Please make adjustments also
  • Why are you printing 5 custom shirts and who are the shirts for. You should also reduce the cost for the shirts
  • 2,500 NGN for refreshment is on the high side. This can also be reduced.

We look forward to your response and adjustment on or before May 30th 2023. Thank you once again for your work within the Wikimedia Movement in Nigeria.

Dear @SuperSwift
Thank you sincerely for dedicating your time to evaluate our grant proposal. We greatly appreciate your feedback and have taken the necessary steps to incorporate the requested adjustments. In light of your concern, we have made the decision to produce a total of five (5) custom shirts. Out of these, three shirts will be allocated for the facilitators, while the remaining two custom T-shirts will be presented as tokens of appreciation to the esteemed individuals holding positions of head of department and dean of schools within the institution.
Thank you once again for your valuable input, and we look forward to your continued support. Yemi festus (talk) 22:16, 29 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Adjustments and Facilitators[edit]

Dear Yemi Festus,

After detailed search on Wikidata, Meta Wiki and Wikipedia, I found out that the other two facilitators for this event (User:Uche2023 and User:Kehinde fagbeji) do not exist. (Facilitators must be experience Wikimedians). This means that you will be the only facilitator for the event and as such, we will make provisions for only one facilitator for this project.

After discussion with the WUGN leadership and grants team, we came up with the following decisions:

  • since it’s a new program in the school and this is a mini grant, you have to please reduce the scope to 20 participants maximum so as to create good learning curves. Focusing on too many people on a startup has not yielded good results in the past.
  • we have decided also to reduce the funding for internet supply to account to 30,000NGN which implies 1500NGN per person for the two days
  • the cost of food has been reduced to 80,000NGN (20 people)

This puts the new budget at 237,500NGN

This means that the budget will be adjusted to focus on 20 participants.

An email will be sent to you where the new amount will be stated. You have every right to accept or reject this new adjustment. Many thanks. Ashioma (WUGN) (talk) 11:07, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
