Dear Ngostary2k

The Wikimedia User Group Nigeria community support fund committee has further reviewed your application, and they have some follow-up questions and requests regarding your application:

  • Number of articles to be created or improved is not sufficient when compared to the number of participants. Please increase this.
  • You need to give us the details for the communications and Graphics, it seems to be high at 25k.
  • What does the 20,000 NGN for facilitators mean?
  • Logistics of 15,000 NGN will be funded

To enhance grantee experience, the WUGN has decided to provide internet support for the event. A google sheet will be provided where all participant phone numbers and service provider would be collated. This would be submitted a day before the event and airtime disbursement would be made available on the date of event. In line with this new development, the cost for all data should be excluded from your budget. Ashioma (WUGN) (talk) 05:28, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, Grant Master.
The project does not have article creation or improvement. It is Wikicommons cum meet-up for the new year, thus only photo uploads will be done. Please look at the application again for authentication. However we will increase the number of uploads (in the application form).
The communication and graphics are as follow:
Design of the flex N4000
Printing of a big Flex for the programe N14,000 (the price of everything has gone up).
Phone calls and messages for communication to all the vendors (hall, projector, refreshment, graphics), participants and posts on the social media and newsletter N7,000.
The N20,000 is to enable the facilitators (3) who would train the participants on how to upload at the in-person session as well as the follow up online. This is a new community so training is needed on how to upload for inclusive participation. Training is exerting and sapping.
On data reimbursement of participants, I suggest the Google sheet for collection of data is done on the day of the event and not the day before.
That is how to get the real data of who actually participated. I cannot collect data on probability. That is a wrong assessment.
What if someone agrees to come and sends his/her data and fails to appear on the said day?
What about those who are not sure but attended on the said day?
It will create more problem trying to sort this extraneous variable.
Since factual is needed. I suggest you allow it on the day of the event then you can reimburse them that same day or the next day as your policy stipulates.
We will remove the data reimbursement from the application like you stated. Ngostary2k (talk) 07:52, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
