An IP editor who submitted edits from a different location through one's current IP address which they were assigned earlier may be referred to as an IP soul mate. Their existing contributions are visible when visiting the user contributions page through the navigation menu (Special:MyContributions) while logged out. One can consider oneself as the intended recipient of messages from the past, similar to messages in a bottle.
