TUFKAAP[edit]

  • n:en:Police shoot 8 gunmen on New Orleans bridge, 5 dead.Awaiting approval. Note, every article I looked at contained the AP source and that's all the articles mention. --Patrick Mannion 00:07, 5 September 2005 (UTC) <-- TUFKAAP
    • Could you grab another source or two and flesh out the article a bit more? In it's current state, it's too similar to the original AP article. Add a little more to it and I'll gladly give you the thumbs up for this one. Post a reply here when that's done. Soundstruck 06:56, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

Dorian Gray[edit]

  • Late entry (September 3)

Note: I thought I was two articles in debt and one joker left at the beginning of the day... Can someone explain to me how I jumped up to 1 and 2 instead? (Just noticing this as adding the India article to the list) Dorian Gray 03:16, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

  • Judge's comment: You started 2 days late, so were 2 articles in debt and had the normal 3 jokers for any starting contestant. At the end of the first day, you had one article approved, which is the normal article expected of each contestant each day. Another article was expected to "work off" the debt. Since you didn't have another article that day, a joker was spent to pay off that days debt. So far today, you have one article approved, which is the article expected of each contestant each day. If your second article is approved, that will be applied to pay off your article debt and any further articles approved will increase your number of jokers. If your second article is not approved, then another joker will be spent to pay off your article debt. Also note that we changed the method used to account for article debt today, see the "Judge's Forum" section of the talk page off the main page for details.StuRat 03:28, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

This is how I recognize the events, other judges please feel free to suggest a different approach. Soundstruck 06:56, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

  • Late entry (September 3rd @ 19:25 UTC), started off with 3 jokers and article debt of 2
  • No article submitted by end of day on September 3rd, forefit one joker (2 remain).
  • Need to work off one article debt per day, forefit one joker (1 remains) to reach article debt of 1.
  • No article submitted by end of day on September 4th, forefit one joker (none left).
  • Need to work off one article debt per day, no jokers remain -- removed from contest. Sorry!
  • Judge's comment: I agree. StuRat 02:20, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
  • Out of the contest.

josephs1[edit]

  • Late entry (September 3)
  • Hurricane_Maria_Forms_in_Atlantic This is my first article ever. I have decided to do just what Dorian Gray did and put it on Develop. Please put it on publish if it looks good, or tell me what I did wrong. I as of now have made all the edits on it. --josephs1 11:07, 4 September 2005
  • Judge's comment: I've reviewed, and vote to approve, this entry. StuRat 17:46, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for clarifying. How many judges votes are needed to recieve credit?

  • Judge's comment: One judge can approve an article, but if two more judges wanted to unapprove it, then we would go on "majority rules" and unapprove it. StuRat 15:12, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
  • 0 articles in debt
  • 0 jokers left
