Kashmiri Community Movement Charter Conversations
The Kashmiri Community MC Ambassador organised Conversations to get the feedback of Kashmiri Community about the first three chapters of Movement Charter. These conversations are a part of Movement Charter Ambassador Program and are supported with a Movement Strategy grant of 855 USD. The program started from 20 November.

Research[edit]
The research was conducted by the Grant Grantee to know more about the Movement Charter and its importance for better coordination of the project. It was concluded that the document is of utmost importance for the strategic development of the different aspects of the Movement. The Charter plays an important role in providing a uniform environment for the Movement's growth.
Translations[edit]
Translating the Movement Charter content into the Kashmiri Language started from the very first day of the Grant start day and continued till last day. This was one of the most time-consuming activities of this project. The following pages have been translated into the Kashmiri language during this project.

Meetings[edit]
The meeting part of this project started by joining the Regional Consultation call on 2 Dec. During this various aspects of the Movement Charter were discussed. It served as the Kick-off meeting for the program.
Movement Charter conversation - Kashmiri community - 1[edit]
The first Movement Charter Conversation was held on Friday, 9th December 2022 at 08:00 - 09.00 PM (IST) by Movement Charter ambassador Peerzada Iflaq. The meeting was held on Google meet and was attended by 8 members of the Kashmiri Community and by some non Wikimedians. The meeting was held for an hour during which the Movement Charter was explained and feedback was collected from the community members. Notes were taken on on Etherpad and offline mode.
Movement Charter conversation - Kashmiri community - 2[edit]
The second Movement Charter Conversation was held on Tuesday, 13th December 2022 at 07:00 - 07:30 PM (IST) by Movement Charter ambassador Peerzada Iflaq. The meeting was held on Google meet and the format used was one-to-one. The meeting was held for half an hour during which the detailed analysis of Movement Charter was done and feedback was collected from the community member. Notes were taken on Etherpad and offline.

The second Movement Charter Conversation was held on Thursday, 15th December 2022 at 09:15 - 09:45 PM (IST) by Movement Charter ambassador Peerzada Iflaq. The meeting was held on Google meet and the format used was one-to-one. The meeting was held for half an hour during which the detailed analysis of the Movement Charter was done and feedback was collected from the community member. Notes were taken on on Etherpad and offline.
Circulating Pdf's[edit]
Circulating Translated content to native Kashmiri Language speakers (Non-Wikimedians) and Language experts as PDFs to get their feedback on translations, thereby improving the translations and making them as simple as possible.
As a part of this initiative, we received some feedback about the Kashmiri translations. The feedback suggested making the translations more simple so that they will be easy to understand by the general public. We have acted upon these requests and made some changes accordingly. The meaning of the charter content remains unchanged, but the content was simplified in the Kashmiri language.
Coordination[edit]
The intracommunity activities were led by Iflaq. The program lead was Yop Rwang Pam, who serves as the Movement Strategy Implementation Specialist at Wikimedia Foundation. CSinha was the regional MSIG lead for this program.
Feedback[edit]
Collection of feedback from the community about Movement Charter was the core of this project. The feedback was collected from the community via various channels. The meetings were the main source of feedback collection. The collective community feedback of Kashmiri community has been published. One-to-one sessions were more fruitful as it helped us to do a detailed analysis of the Movement Charter content.
Circulating the Pdf's of the content with some native speakers and language experts (Non-Wikimedians) generated the feedback about the Kashmiri language version of the charter. The same suggestions were implemented to make the local language version more perfect for the readers to engage.
