Even though the praxis on Meta is for users to self-nominate, I had a conversation with Slade, where he manifested interest in becoming a Meta Administrator, and he mentioned that it would be nice to be nominated, rather than self-nominate. Since this is a third-party nomination, I ask that the community wait until the candidate posts here confirming formally his acceptance of this nomination, at which time he will add the necessary identity confirmation to his userpage on at least one other project.
Slade is a trustworthy, hardworking user who has been contributing regularly on Meta roughly since May 2006, and registered since October 2005.
He also meets all the necessary criteria for Meta adminship with ease:
at least 100 edits on Meta: Slade has more than 800 edits on Meta (Interiot's tool — despite the huge replication lag)
Meta userpage with links to userpage(s) on other projects: they are all there.
I expect that Slade would do a good job with the more laborious admin tasks that need doing around the website, and it would be beneficial for us to have a pt-N admin around. Redux 02:30, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
