What I liked

...The content were fresh and very easy to learn and understand.

What I didn't like

...The pictures were not as informational as much necessary.

What was missing

What was unnecessary

...I don't felt so.

Terapede (talk)[edit]

What I liked

Be bold! (Very helpful for a new editor) Link to the Teahouse. Looks useful.

What I didn't like

The videos and the text overlapped in some cases. Needn't be changed, however.

What was missing

I don't think I'll really quite know until I start editing.

StartlingCanary (talk)[edit]

What I liked
It explained talk pages to me. I never really knew what those were.

...

What I didn't like
It was definitely a little boring. Maybe some more interactive stuff would be nice.

...

What was missing
I don't know enough about wikipedia to know if the tutorial missed something. Once I begin using it more, then I'll know if everything that needed to be covered was covered.

...

What was unnecessary
I thought everything was pretty much necessary.

...

Connor M333 (talk)[edit]

What I liked

It gave a brief overview of everything a new user needs to know about Wikipedia.

Nothing.

Magneticwhatever (talk)[edit]

What I liked

Content broken up into sections with clear headings, addition of videos to clarify and expand on topics.

What was missing

Emphasis on where to find this information in the future ('You can always view this information again at...'), potentially a shortlist of best basic how-to guides (I now have a tab explosion, but at least I have the information somewhere?)

--Magneticwhatever (talk) 18:18, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

What I liked

Covered a wide range of topics, and provided plenty of resources for additional information.

What I didn't like

I didn't have any particular complaints.

What was missing

Text demonstrations of markup syntax (not just in videos) would be helpful, particularly for citations.

Brndn.js (talk)[edit]

What I liked

The training was succinct, easy to internalize, and made me excited about joining the Wikipedia community.

What I didn't like

I have no complaints.

What was missing

What was unnecessary

The content covered in the videos provided a great visual representation of the concepts covered, though I found it to be unnecessary due to the textual detail of the orientation.

Aallenson (talk)[edit]

What I liked

...I liked the videos that went along with the topic -- I thought they were helpful and easy to follow along with.

What I didn't like

...It had a few boring spots. Some of the text could have been broken up better.

What was missing

...I think it gave a good overview of what was needed.

What was unnecessary

...I didn't need a slide showing that I completed a new section each time.

JRammy (talk)[edit]

What I liked
I felt the process was clear and concise.

...

What I didn't like
I found it odd that the text mentioned the Wiki markup, but the use of the toolbars that do this automatically was primarily mentioned in the videos.

...

What was missing
I would love to see more in depth explanation of references/footnotes. I believe it could use a little more clarity in the format and requirements when creating one.

...

What was unnecessary

Bonnie Gaston (talk)[edit]

What I liked

... I really enjoyed the examples and trying along with the videos to get a little practice using the editing tools.

What I didn't like

... The long and confusing paragraphs about when to edit and how others can change your edits. How will I know that my edits will ever get published if someone can always come right in behind me and change everything?

What was missing

... Good examples of articles that students can work on.

What was unnecessary

What I liked

... I liked how it gave the basic principles of learning how to edit on wikipedia.

What I didn't like

... I felt that it repeated itself multiple times throughout the feedback.

What was missing

Acaill6 (talk)[edit]

What I liked

The pictures provided with the instructions were helpful.

What I didn't like

What I didn't like

…The videos were not able to work for me. My computer kept telling me they had a virus or something but that may just be my computer.

What was missing

What I liked

The training was very straightforward and simple which made it easy to follow.

What I didn't like

Certain steps that don't contain a lot of information, particularly in the "welcome" portion, seem like they could have been combined into one page rather than needing to click the arrows to load new pages each time

What was missing

More detail on how users should choose which pages to edit may be helpful.

What was unnecessary

The video about verifiability seemed unnecessary, explaining that sources need to be cited could have been done with a few sentences.

Atiangco (talk)[edit]

What I liked

... There is enough content and information that is quite informative for students to know, the videos also helped to ensure that each concept was explained in the most efficient manner

What I didn't like

... The videos are not very long but they seem to get a little boring at times, maybe the videos can be more creative, incorporating a images or having the actual individual speak about the theme and sub-themes

What was missing

... I am unfamiliar as to what is missing since this is my first time understanding the context of the Wikipedia community

What was unnecessary

... Nothing was unnecessary as all of the content was important and essential in understanding the four kinds of modules

What I didn't like

What was missing

...Everything was discussed.

What was unnecessary

What I liked

...It was informative and I learned about distinguishing between credible and noncredible pages due to the use of particular sources.

What I didn't like

...I did not like how the presentation slides were smaller than usual.

What was missing

...Nothing was missing.

What was unnecessary

...The use of small slides was unnecessary.

What I liked

Very clear and thorough tutorial. I like the section on how to choose an article.

What I didn't like

What was missing

I still do not understand how to move an article from a personal sandbox to it's proper spot.

MarkDasuki (talk)[edit]

What I liked

It was well constructed. The videos were very helpful.

What I didn't like

A little long, but I can see it might be considered necessary.

What was missing

I can't think of anything.

What was unnecessary

Nothing was super unnecessary, but some of it was long. Regarding the pillars of Wikipedia -- while I can see why it's important, I wonder how many people read everything in its entirety (and I mean people that aren't editing for an assignment)

What I liked

Very easy to use!

What I didn't like

The videos didn't work so well.

What was missing

Not sure that anything was really missing, i just learned about Wikipedia!

What was unnecessary

I would guess it should be obvious not to have personal attacks against others, and that most of the edits are for the good of the site. This is pretty intuitive and those who are going to do person attacks ever if you say not to.

KenKazaki2 (talk)[edit]

What I liked

...I like all the pages linked to me, like the Cheat sheet, the Wikimedia commons for images, the Stubs, Start, and Relevant Articles pages for finding pages to start with and the encouraging way they put it.

What I didn't like

...I think it was informative enough, though maybe the Watchlist page might have gone on a bit? Everything was fine to me.

What was missing

...Nothing I can think of.

What was unnecessary

...Might be the videos since I feel like the messing with the sandbox part might be all that's needed, but I see no issue with keeping the videos since I'm sure they help visually.

Ms2224 (talk)[edit]

What I liked

...I like that the steps were thorough in informing Wikipedia users.

What I didn't like

... Some of the steps were somewhat lacking of examples of what a good article consists of.

What was missing

... There could have been a clear example of how one does not want an article to look like and how it indeed ought to look like.

What was unnecessary

... There were too many steps. --Ms2224 (talk) 20:49, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
