User groups, chapters, and affiliated organizations could agree to something like this

The North American Hub is an ongoing coalition of Wikimedia affiliates (chapters, user groups, and thematic groups) and related partner organizations who agree to this statement.

  • We will support and work with the other NAhub groups on projects under an initial umbrella name
  • We will host events, activities, or services open to North American Wikimedians regularly and we can say such events are held on behalf of in concert with of the North American hub
  • By majority vote of existing member groups, new groups can join the hub. A group can leave whenever it decides to.
  • By majority vote of existing member groups, project may be approved or declined as "North American Wikimedians" (hub)
  • The activities of the North American Wikimedians (or NAhub) group will be summarized in the reports for the WikiConference North America user group.
  • These rules and guidelines may be changed by majority vote of the members.
  • Voting can occur in person, by email, or on an online platform, as long as all member groups can respond feasibly in time
  • We expect members to act fairly and in good faith and will add rules as needed to make sure members can trust the processes.
