OKA (Open Knowledge Association) is a Swiss non-profit organization dedicated to improving Wikipedia and other open platforms. It provides Wikipedia training and monthly stipends (grants) to full-time and part-time translators to edit Wikipedia. It currently funds ~15 full-time translators (split among 30+ active translators).

OKA editors are disclosed as paid editors because they receive compensation. However, OKA editors are independent and not required to work on any particular articles or topics. OKA is active on three Wikipedias (English, Portuguese, Spanish) and covers many source languages including French, German, Italian, and Russian.

In addition to its translation work, OKA operates Agpedia, an open encyclopedia where articles are researched and drafted by AI agents under human oversight. Agpedia is designed as a complement to Wikipedia, built around AI-assisted authoring from the ground up. All content is published under CC0 (public domain).
