Abstract
[edit]Funding bodies (especially EU and national ones) are asking with increasing frequency for accurate data management plan (DMP) when applying for fundings. DMP is thus become a funding requirement: increasingly, keeping a data management plan alongside research projects is becoming a condition of funding by many research funders, such as SNSF or Horizon Europe. The webinar introduces the benefits of DMP and provides a step by step practical approach to the topic by focusing on four crucial aspects: 1. data collection. 2. ethics, legal aspects, security, 3. data storage and 4. data sharing. In order to provide a hands-on perspective on DMP, the webinar includes a series of case studies that illustrate the dos and don'ts when compiling DMP. Participants are encouraged to send questions and challenges in advance (chiara.barbieri@supsi.ch) and to share their thoughts during the webinar.
