Organizational effectiveness/Case studies

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

As part of our work on benchmarking research for Wikimedia and the organizational effectiveness tool for Wikimedia organizations, the TCC group conducted in-depth interviews with three Wikimedia organizations who have had some success in running effective programs, to learn more about how they understand their own effectiveness.

We selected one user group (Wikimedians of Nepal User Group), one larger chapter (Wikimedia Österreich), and one mid-size thematic organization (Amical Wikimedia), to involve a triad of Wikimedia organizations with different perspectives. These organizations have given us permission to publish their stories here, so that others in the movement can learn from their work.

These organizations were also participants in the pilot group that was instrumental in getting us feedback about the early versions of the tool, and we are thankful for their engagement with this work and their willingness to speak candidly about their successes and challenges.
